Kevin was born in Freeport, Texas, but raised in Midland, Texas. He graduated from Lee High School in Midland in 1989. He joined the army reserves in 1990, and loved his army duty. He was to leave to go to Iraq during the first Gulf War, but lost his life in a boating accident 2 weeks before his unit was to leave. He was attending college and had said he wanted to enlist in the army full time when he graduated from college. Kevin loved people and lived his life to the fullest. He lived more in his short 20 years here on earth than most of us do should we live to be old. Kevin was so very special and so loving, and we miss him so very much, we miss that special light and laughter he brought to our lives, and there will always be a hole in our hearts that can only be filled by Kevin.
Kevin always told me, "Mom I'm just a simple man, what you see is what you get". I always said no he was anything but a simple man, he was God's greatest gift to me, he was and is my precious baby boy..
