Erma L. Chaney Dalton, 97, formerly of Bowling Green, died Nov. 8, 2007, in Newburgh, Ind.

The Allen County native was born Sept. 2, 1910. She was a resident of Newburgh Healthcare Center since 2005. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a 57-year member of First Baptist Church of Bowling Green, a member of Priscilla Sunday School Class, Baptist Senior Adult Fellowship, Women's Missionary Union and was a member of Warren County Homemakers. After raising her family, she mastered the art of weaving and spent many years passing the art on to other senior citizens. She was a daughter of the late John Dixon Chaney and Bessie Walker Chaney and the wife of the late Harold B. Dalton, a pharmacist, who died in 1991.

Survivors include two daughters, Bette Anne Bloss and her husband, Bryant, of Newburgh, and Nell Dalton Main of Lexington; six grandchildren, Cathy Bloss Miller and her husband, Greg, of Owensboro, Harold Allen Bloss and his wife, Beth, of Evansville, Ind., Charles Dalton Main and his wife, Paula, of Shelbyville, William Kennedy Main and his wife, Marisol, of New York, N.Y., John Bradley Main and his wife, Sara, of New Albany, Ind., and Amanda Main Ferguson and her husband, Todd, of Lexington; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
