Heddy-kay aka K K was my beautiful brown pit bull mixed female puppy dog who struggled to come onto this world one night and stuggled to take her first breath, her twin Pocket was identical to her but a boy. I nursed her to health and she was my constant companion. She was as dedicated as she was loving to me and those she'd give her life to protect. My Heddie kay loved going for drives in the car in my arms as a puppy and even sat in a baby car seat on long drives. One day she saved my life, we had a floor heater and my shoes were on the heater when someone turned it on. I was a sleep and smoke started to fill the room, she came in and cried and kissed my face to wake me up. When I woke up I seen the smoke and immediately turned off the heater and threw the shoes out the door. She jumped up in my arms and kissed me all over. She was my angel. The day I was to take her to my sisters home (I was moving) she got out through our alley and got hit by a car. She knew I would get upset cause I told her that if she walked herself, the doggie police would pick her up and put her in jail, cause doggies can't walk themselves, mommie or daddies have to be with them and if she went to jail, I would cry. Well, as I was loading up my car I seen her draging herself down the street. I thought she was pulling an act like she always did when she got caught, but this time it was different, my K K had tears coming from her eyes. I looked at her not realizing she was hurt and told her, the doggie police are gonna take you from me. She looked up at me and collapsed. A neighbor came and told me that a car delibertly hit her and she drug herself home. An animal caretaker took her home with her and held her until she passed, she had massive internal injuries. She was the best pet I ever had and I miss her to this day. I know she is in heaven. I have only one picture of her when she was a puppy on video, I wish I had taken pictures of her. I miss my little Heddy-Kay.
