Obituary
CREAMER - On Sunday, November 5, 1876, at his residence 7 miles southwest of Greenfield, Ohio, Godfrey Creamer, aged 65 years, 7 months and 9 days.
He was born near Wittenburg, Germany, and came with his parents to this country when he was about seven years of age.
He had made his residence in the place where he died, for twenty-six years.
He united with the M. E. Church about the year 1831, and remained a consistent member until the Master called him home.
His disease was typhoid fever.
During his last hours he was unable to converse with his friends, but his life was such as to leave no doubt as to his interest in a Divine Redeemer.
Few men came nearer than he did, fulfilling the apostolic injunction, "Be not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord."
As a husband, father, neighbor and citizen, his loss will be deeply felt.
Perhaps no where, except in his own family circle, will his absence be more deeply felt,
than in the prayer meeting of which he was a constant attendant.

"I would not live alway; nor, welcome the tomb:
Since Jesus hath lain there, I dread not its gloom.
There sweet be my rest, till he bid me arise
To hail Him in triumph, descending the skies."
