Third child of Ethel Caroline Cummings and James William Kirby Snr.

1921 Census: Living with parents and 2 brothers at 70 Northwood Road, Croydon, Surrey.

Joined the army in 1933 - Went to India in 1934 he was still in action in 1943 (India).

Married to Catherine Julia Ryan in 1946. They had 2 daughters.

Occupations were: Traffic Warden and Drycleaner.

Passed away at May Day Hospital, from Cardiorespiratory arrest and Myocardial infarction.

Uncle Charlie's ashes were scattered at the Kirby Family Grave on 18 March 1988.
