Son of Richard Manley & Anne Smith, who married in 1858 in Dublin.


Richard Manly, a bachelor, a Clerk on Post Office, living at St. Mary's Villas, Dublin, son of Richard Manly, an Inspector in R.I.C, and Clara Emily Tennant, a spinster, living at Slycuff, Bagenalstown, daughter of David Tennant, a Farmer, were married on 22 September 1898, at Bagenalstown Church of Ireland church.
The witnesses were,
Richard Manly,
David Tennant.



At the time of his son's birth in 1900, he was a clerk in the GPO, in Dublin.

In the 1911 census, the Manly were living at 84 Brighton Terrace, Glasnevin, Dublin.
