Actor. Appeared on stage and in motion pictures from the 1920s to the 1940s. Remembered chiefly as the chilling 'Renfield' in the 1931 horror classic "Dracula." He also played the part of 'Fritz' in the landmark horror film classic "Frankenstein" that same year. Immortalized in the song "The Ballad of Dwight Fry" (minus the "e") in the early 1970s by the rock group Alice Cooper which appears on the album, "Love It to Death" (1971).
