Darlene F. Dozark, 41, Denison, Iowa, formerly of rural Minot, North Dakota, died December 23, 1983 in a Denison hospital of cancer. Her funeral was held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Denison.
Darlene Schimmelpfennig was born July 21, 1942 at Minot, North Dakota, a daughter of Lawrence and Clarice Schimmelpfennig. She was reared on a farm northwest of Minot and graduated from Glenburn High School in 1960. She married Roger A. Dozark July 25, 1959 at Glenburn. They lived in rural Glenburn until 1965 when they moved to Big Bear Lake, California, returning in 1967 to Glenburn. In 1972 they moved to Kiron, Iowa, and in 1976 to Denison. She had been employed for a time at Norwest Bank, Denison.
Survivors: husband; son, Craig; daughters, Becky Qualheim, Kim Dozark and Sheila Dozark; one grandchild; parents; brother, Larry Schimmelpfennig; sisters, Connie Backes, Clara Jeanne Vigstol and Cyndi Kosse.
