Brenda Joyce (Carroll) Harding/Dukes/Nichols of Prattville, Al., formerly of Columbus, Ga., went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 26, 2008. Funeral services will be held 2PM, Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chuck Franciscus and Reverend Nick Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Nichols was born October 6, 1943, daughter of Ted R. and Mary Helen Allen Carroll. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace R. Nichols, Jr.; brothers: Jimmy, Johnny, and Bennett Ross Carroll; daughter: Debbie Dukes. Mrs. Nichols is survived by a son: Dr. Richard Dukes of Atlanta, Ga.; Sherry Dukes of Cummings, Ga.; stepson: Rusty (Becky) Nichols of Sheridan, Ar.; a grandson: Daniel; granddaughters: Mindy (Bryan), Adrianna, Shelby, Briana; great grandsons: Noah and Jake; and a great granddaughter: McKenzie.
