Redgie Joel Amrein, 24, Glenburn, died Friday as a result of injuries suffered in a collision of his motorcycle and a pickup truck. His funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lynch Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Glenburn, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Glenburn.

Mr. Amrein was born June 30, 1958, at Minot, the son of Chester and Kathryn Amrein. He was reared at Glenburn, graduated from Glenburn High School and attended auto body school at Bismarck Junior College for two years. He was employed by auto body companies in North Hollywood, Calif., for two years, living in Newbury Park, Calif., where his family maintains a winter home. He returned to Glenburn, and assisted his father in the operation of the family farm in Ensign Township, Renville County, and operated his own auto body company, Redgie's Custom Auto, at the farm. For six months of the year, during cold weather, he was employed in the suto and glass shop at Minot Air Force Base.

While in school, he was active in Cub Scouts, played basketball and baseball and performed in the band at Glenburn High School. He was a member of the Farmers Union and also had been active with Farmers Union Youth, serving as a torchbearer for the latter. He was a member of the Glenburn Jaycees and a member and trophy winner in Nodak Racing Club at Minot He attended Lynch Immanuel church.

At the time of his death, he was engaged to marry Lynette Gotvaslee of Surrey.

Surviving: parents; brother, Rick J., Newbury Park; sisters, Lindea Funderburg, Newbury Park, LaRae Amrein, Camarillo, Calif.; grandmother, Mary Amrein, Mohall, foster brother, Dale Nelson, Surrey, who his parents reared.
