Rogene F. Christianson, 76, Minot, formerly of Glenburn, died Friday, January 9, 2015 in a Minot Medical Center.
Rogene was born on June 19, 1938 in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Butts) Clark. She was raised and educated at Glenburn, graduating from Glenburn High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Lowell Christianson on February 1, 1956 at First Lutheran Church, Minot.
They made their home in Glenburn where they raised their five children. In 1980, she completed training at Josef’s School of Hair Design. They sold their home in Glenburn in 1997 and moved to Lake Metigoshe until 2005 when they moved to Minot.
Rogene was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn where she was active with the Church’s Altar guild and the Glenburn Homemakers Club. Her lifelong passion was spending time with her family along with visiting with her many friends and acquaintances.
Her loving family includes, husband of 58 years, Lowell Christianson, Minot, children; Galen (Kathleen) Christianson, Champlin, MN, Cheryl (John) Wallen, Minot, Wade (Liz) Christianson, Minot, Blain (Gail) Christianson, Fargo, Doug (Michelle) Christianson, Minot; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Erickson-Talley, Lansford, ND; several nieces and nephews.
Rogene was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Norval Norsby; granddaughter, Nicole Christianson; brothers-in -law, Vern Erickson and Jim Talley.
Funeral service: Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Minot.
