Windsong was a beautiful bobcat, raised by humans who after a while decided they no longer wanted her. She was taken to an auction to be sold to the highest bidder, the terrified cat was rescued by what was to become Big Cats Rescue. That was back on 11/5/1992, little Windsong was 6 months old, and the reason why Big Cats Rescue started, that would make Windsong the founder of sorts. After 18 years, Windsong left this world to be free again. She was euthanized after battling renal failure since last December (2009). To prevent her any pain, the decision was made and she died on June 11 2010.
