SANTA FE - Miranda Denise (Da-Da) Adams passed from this life Thursday morning, November 18, 1999 at Texas A&M University, while building the 1999 Bonfire.
Born June 27, 1980 in Texas City, Miranda had been a lifetime resident of Santa Fe. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Texas city where she had been an officer in the youth group. She was a 1998 Graduate of Santa Fe High School, where she had served as a member of the student council, was a member of the math club and the honor society and had played saxophone in the high school marching and concert bands. Miranda was currently a member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2002 and a member of the Women's Bonfire committee - one of the Mosher Bonfire Co-Chairs for 1999. She enjoyed playing the piano, being with her family and friends and fulfilling her lifelong dream of attending Texas A&M.
Preceded in death by her grandfather, Victor T. Oberg, survivors include her parents, Kenny and Carolyn Adams of Santa Fe; brothers and sister-in-law, Gregory Scott and Kelly Adams, Santa Fe, Mark Andrew Adams, USMC stationed in Okinawa, Japan; grandparents, Virginia Oberg, Hitchcock, Winston and Mary Adams, Santa Fe; niece Tyler Michelle Adams; godparents, Ronnie and Sheila Meier of Hitchcock and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Nassau Bay, Pastor David Tessmann and Dr. Rick Rigsby officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Pallbears will be Chris Brown, Logan Burton, Adam Castro, Duane choate, Mat McLeod and Sean Stewart. Honorary bearers will be Bill Davis, Devon Blanck, Carissa Burkett, Lauren Scalan and members of the Mosher Line.
Friends may call from Noon - 8:00 PM Tuesday at Hayes Funeral Homes, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock.
