He was born to the loving parents of Minnie Searcy and John Evin DeBlanc Sr. on December 5, 1959. Minnie Searcy died years later in 1984 of pancreatic cancer. He graduated in 1978 from Wheatley High School. He once said, it was an accomplishment, that education is the key to further advances. He later served in the army as a military policeman. He joined the Houston Police Department in 1983. He earned a degree from Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law and considered practicing law when he retired. He had recently learned that he'd earned a transfer to the HPD Homicide Division. He suffered a gunshot wound while cleaning his weapon. He is survived by his two daughters Nicole and Tamika, a wife Patricia, grandchildren Chris and Nyiah, sisters Lula, Diane, Linda, his brothers, his twin Ronald, John Jr., his father John Sr. and a lot of nieces and nephews. He joins in death by his mother Minnie Searcy and his brother Edward Lee Busby. We love you and will forever miss you. You will remain in hearts always.
