A 20 year Veteran of the Houston Police Department, he joined the Police Academy June 27, 1983 and was a graduate of class 114. He was a member of the Houston Police Officers Union. Frank enjoyed deep-sea fishing, travel and sports, especially the Sacramento Kings basketball, the Houston Arrows hockey and the Montreal Expos baseball clubs of which he was a huge fan. He is survived by his mother, Marie Pyevach and stepfather Wesley of Canyonville, Oregon; his father, Francisco Cantu and wife Alejandra of Mexico, 2 sisters, Anna Marie Ross and husband Bob of Laquinta Ca. and Deborah Ann Boyd and husband Kyle of Santa Rosa, Ca., a brother, Eric Able Cantu of Houston, nieces Kayla and Daiji Boyd, Maria and Olivia Ross and nephew Michael Ross; uncles, Richard Velasquez and Fernando and Fred Cantu, aunts, Connie Velasquez, Mary Nino and Tommie Cantu, cousins, Karri Velasquez, Gregory and Junior Nino, Sandra Davila, Philip Cantu Jr., Mark and Mike Cantu and many other loving family and friends.
