Luis was a career military man; he served our Country for 26 years in the United States Air Force.
Luis was the son of Jose Nieves Olvera Sr. 12/15/16 to 6/20/85 and Altagracia Castaneda Olvera Quintanilla 11/28/1918 to March 13, 2014.
He was the grandson of Alfonso Castañeda and Concepcion Vargas Castañeda. He was the grandson of Ramon Olvera and Manuela Ontiveros Olvera.
He married Carmen Valdivia 3/28/35 to 8/14/2003 on June 5, 1954.
They had one son Luis Olvera, Jr. 3/18/55 to 7/3/2000.
and three daughters, Maria Teresa Olvera 1/19/56
Amalia Olvera Lendman 10/15/1960 and Patricia Michelle Olvera Dart 10/9/1964.
He had six grandchildren:
From his son Luis Jr. he had one grand daughter, Tiffany Nicole and one grandson, Luis the third. From his daughter Molly, he had one grand daughter, Elizabeth Diane Lendman and one grandson, John Teeter Dotson Lendman. From his daughter Patricia Michelle, he had one grandson, Lance Wesley Dart and one grand daughter, Renee Erin Dart.
On his father's side he had two sisters Rita Olvera Sanchez 8/5/1943 and Maria Estefana Olvera 9/11/1944 and one brother, Jose Nieves Olvera Jr. 8/22/1945 to 11/24/1976.
From his mother's side he had four brothers and one sister, Rodolfo Castañeda 2/8/1942, Manuel Quintanilla, Jr. 1/25/1945, Alfonso Quintanilla 2/9/1946 to 11/6/1989, Maria Rosario Quintanilla Ponce 2/5/1947, Carlos Arturo Quintanilla 7/27/1949.
On his father's side he had one aunt, Ramona Olvera Jacinto.
On his mother's side he had two aunts, Mary Castañeda Rodriguez 3/8/1920, Lucia Castañeda Cruz 7/7/1935 and one uncle, Alfonso Castañeda Jr. 10/15/1929.
