Unity – August 7, 1951 – Daniel F. Shute, 63, died today at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. He was born, May 26, 1888, in Jacksonville, Fla., farmed in Unity for many years and more recently worked in Bangor hospitals.
He was a member of Benjamin Berry American Legion Post and Star in the West Masonic Lodge, both in Unity.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Reynolds of Troy; a brother, Howard Cornforth of Unity; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Shorey Funeral Home here with the Rev. Shirley Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the Fowler Cemetery in Unity.
