McDowell County Woman Dies From Effects of Drug.

Marion, July 25--Miss Sue Emma Dobbins, 34, of the Nix Creek section of McDowell county died in the Marion General hospital this afternoon from the effects of poison taken at her home on Nix creek Monday afternoon.
Although Miss Dobbins had been in poor health for a long time, nothing unusual was observed in her condition until she took a dose of bichloride of mercury late Monday afternoon, it was reported by relatives, and no cause was assigned for her action. She was hurried to the hospital for treatment but failed to respond to medical aid.
Funeral service will be conducted from the McCall funeral home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. J. W. Hackney and Rev. E. W. Fox of Marion. Surviving Miss Dobbins are her father, Samuel Dobbins, five sisters and three brothers.
