Gail J. Nicholson, 79, of Spencer, died Thursday, February 10 at home.

He was born April 2, 1925, at Richardson, Calhoun County, a son of the late Eddie L. and Goldie Elizabeth Zobrist Nicholson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, and retired from the U.S. Air Force and also from McDonnell-Douglas, St. Louis, MO.

Survivors include four sons; Samuel (Janet) Nicholson of Kissimmee, FL, Tom Nicholson of Canton, OH, Dave (Joyce) Nicholson of St. Charles, MO, and Dan (Jenny) Nicholson of Woodstock, GA; and five grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara DeCosta Nicholson; three brothers, Samuel N. Nicholson, Eddie L. Nicholson, and Dwight D. Nicholson; and two sisters, Mrs. Alice M. Hicks and Mrs. Marjorie Walker.

A funeral service and burial will be in St. Louis on Monday, February 14.
