---Billy Eugene Hatfield, 46, of Livonia, died Dec. 4, 1981 at the Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital in Kirksville.
---The son of Noble and Eithel Richmond Hatfield, he was born Dec. 10, 1934, in Putnam County, near Graysville. On Oct. 24, 1969, in Woodstock, Ill., he married Gladys Elaine Fliegel, who survives.
---He is also survived by his father, Noble Hatfield, and Noble's wife, Bernice, of Livonia, his mother, Eithel Witt, and her husband, Ernest, of Cincinnati, Ia.; one son, Donald Wesley Whitehead of Fort Sill, Okla.; three daughters, Connie Hatfield of the home, and Donna Hatch of Yakima, Wash.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Hatfield of Pendelton, Ore., and Lonnie Hatfield of Yakima, Wash.; and four sisters, Charlene VerKuilen of Livonia, Marilyn Fowler of Yakima, Wash,. Shirley Kohler of Rockford, Ill., and Darlene Sniegowski of Centerville.
---He was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Hatfield.
---He was employed as a fuel truck driver for Missouri Mining, Inc. He had served in the U.S. Air Force for over nine years with the 902nd Radar Squad. He lived in Livonia for the past seven years where he had served on the town board and was a member of the Omaha Baptist Church.
---Funeral services were held Dec. 7, 1981 at the Husted Funeral Home in Unionville with Ken Lambert and Merlin Shively officiating. Burial was in the McCune Cemetery in east Putnam County, Mo.
---Pallbearers were - Russell Vestal, Max Harsha, Bobby Jones, Robert Hurley, Richard Vestal and Gary Roberts. Honorary pallbearers were Earl Brunk, Bud Roberts, Chalmer Hurley, Buddy Thomas, Chuck Blue and Gary Fowler.
