"RED" BELLMYER
---Walter Dean "Red" Bellmyer, age 54, of Merriam, Kansas, died Tuesday (April 6, 1993) at his home. He was born May 16, 1938, in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Walter and Maxine (McCullough) Bellmyer.
---Surviving are his mother, of La Plata, Missouri; one sister, Emma Miller, of Kansas City, Missouri; three brothers, John Bellmyer, of Shawnee, Kansas; Jack Bellmyer, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Bob Bellmyer; and several nieces and nephews.
---He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters and one brother.
---Mr. Bellmyer was a 1956 graduate of the Baring High School and attended Northeast Missouri State University for two years. He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. He was employed as computer programmer for Railway Express, in Kansas City, until 1973 when he became ill. He was a member of the Shawnee Mission Baptist Church and the La Plata American Legion.
---Funeral services were held Monday, (April 12, 1993) at the La Plata Baptist Church with the Reverend Charles Hall, officiating. Musical selections of "How Great Thou Art" and "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder" were provided by Deanna Clevenger, organist and Melvin Bissey, soloist.
---Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery under the direction of the Pollock Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Bobby Buck, Bill Borron, Lee Hall, Lee Shouse, David Eitel and Leland Collins.
