Obituary for Donald Leroy Bilbrey
Orange County Register

Bilbrey, Donald, born, 22 Jul 1933, passed away peacefully in his sleep August 31st in La Habra, California.

A Korean war veteran, Don was a brilliant thinker, a quick wit, a kind and generous man. Don was a friend and mentor to so many. He loved the ocean, was a lifelong fisherman and boatsman. He will be missed by friends, family and the community.

His surviving children: John and Steven Bilbrey, Allison Zabinski, and Laura Kinanne. His grandchildren: Rachel, Sarah, Madeline, Jessica Bilbrey, and Kevin and Kristin Kinanne.

He was a caring and generous brother to the late James Bilbrey and is survived by his sisters, Linda and Ruth.

A special place in his heart is reserved for his devoted, loving and caring partner, Patricia Mangiacotti, her children and grandchildren. Without Patricia and her devoted family Don would not have been so happy, fulfilled and healthy for so many years.

Services will be held later this week at Rose Hills Cemetery.
