Daughter of David Jones, Penny K. (Rodrigues) Smale and stepdaughter of Brian D. Smale. She was an 8th grade student at Palmerton Jr. High School. Danielle was tragically killed when the speeding car in which she was a passenger went out of control and crashed. The driver went to prison on involuntary manslaughter charges. As part of his sentence, he is required by the judge to place flowers on Danielle's grave twice a year: on her birthday and on the anniversary of her death.
