Camryn was honored as the first baby born in 2008 by the Akron Beacon Journal. He came into the world at 12:33 AM on New Years Day. His parents were Crystal and Craig Wilson.

On March 12, Camryn's mother returned home from a meeting and noticed he didn't seem to be acting normally. She took him to the hospital, and later that day, Craig Wilson was charged with felonious assault and child endangering.

Camryn remained on life support until March 25, when on his doctor's advice, Crystal Wilson chose to have the machines turned off. Camryn passed away later that day. On Monday, the family, including the parents of Craig Wilson, had gathered at the baby's bedside for a ''dedication'' by Pastor Bob Marquis, a family member. Camryn's grandmother, Laura Twiddy, was quoted:

"If God is choosing to take him, then we are dedicating his body to the Lord."

Craig Wilson waived a preliminary hearing, meaning that the case will go straight to a grand jury.

Crystal Wilson's former aunt is my mother's friend, which is how I became acquainted with this sad story. This bio was created with the help of news articles from the Akron Beacon Journal and Fox8 News (WJW Cleveland).

His family has created a Myspace page dedicated to him at:

Camryn

Camryn is survived by his parents, two sisters, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. His obituary and guestbook can be viewed at this site.
