She was a native of Sellersburg and was a dental assistant from 1950 to 1992 for her husband of more than 65 years, William S. Stemm D.M.D. at Stemm Dentistry in New Albany. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Indiana Dental Association Auxiliary, lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and the Altar Society at St. Mary's.
Survivors include her husband, Wilson E. Stemm D.M.D.; children, Victoria "Vicky" Lopp and husband, Gary E., New Albany and Wilson Stephen Stemm D.M.D. and wife, Dorothy A., Elizabeth; six grandchildren, Erika and Andrea Lopp, Wilson Stemm III and wife, Rebekah, Stephanie Bratcher and husband, Brandon, Christine Kraft P.H.D. and husband, Nicholas and Heidi Mae Vix and husband, Alex; and five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Madeline, Wilson IV, Craig and Abigail.
Visitation at Kraft Funeral Services, Spring Street Chapel, will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to. St. Elizabeth's Services, American Cancer Society or St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Albany.
