Elaine was born to John and Winifred Kanable Wakeley. Elaine retired in 1990 as an Intensive Care Nurse Manager for Mercy Medical Center after 33 years of service. She was a 1956 graduate of Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing.
She is survived by her father of Crestline; her husband of 49 years, James R. Neff; two children Karin Neff Mayfield, Greensboro, NC., and James E. Neff, Powell; four grandchildren; two brothers, Jack (Sue) Wakeley of Cullawee, NC. and Robert (Marsha) Wakeley of Creatline; numerous nieces and nephews and her special dog Abby.
