John J. Delcamp, age 87, of Owosso, Michigan, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso.

John Delcamp was born in Wynn March 24, 1920, the son of William Fred Delcamp and Beulah Willmina (Disbrow) Delcamp. He resided most of his life in Owosso and attended Owosso schools. He married Princess "Pat" Pattengill Sept. 13, 1945, in Owosso.

John started his career with Auto Lite, then Globe Union and then Johnson Controls, retiring in 1980 after 31 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars and fixing everything: "Jack of all trades." John also enjoyed playing softball in Owosso.

He was a member of Owosso Church of Christ. He was also a member of the Owosso VFW Post 9455 and Owosso Moose Lodge.

John served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II as a radio operator in France and during the Battle of the Bulge.

Survivors included his wife, Princess "Pat" Delcamp of Owosso; children, Jay and Theresa Delcamp of Grand Blanc, Diann and Tom Foerch of Oklahoma and Troy Douglas Delcamp and Vicki Huska of Owosso; grandchildren, J. Tyler and Lisonn Delcamp, Tiffany and Jerry Snyder, Erik Foerch and Troy Delcamp Jr.; four great-granchildren, Jerry Jr. and Alex Snyder and Addalynn and Dominic Delcamp; sister, Alice Lewis of Owosso; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
