Major League Baseball Player. Real name Joseph Gregg Moore. He was a left-fielder in twelve seasons with the New York Giants. He was named to the National League All Star Team six times during his career (1934 to 1938, 1940). Known for a very good eye at the plate, Moore only struck out 247 times in his career. He was a member of the 1933 World Champion Giants. He also played for two other pennant winners (1936 and 1937 Giants). During the 1937 World Series, Moore had a .391 batting average against the Yankees. In 1335 career games, Moore had 1615 hits with a .298 lifetime batting average.
