MONTEITH RITES HELD AT HAXTUN
Last rites for John A. Monteith, 73, of Denver, formerly of Haxtun, were conducted Tuesday at the Haxtun Methodist Church, with Rev. George A. Burnworth officiating. Interment was in the Haxtun Cemetery.
Mr. Monteith died Wednesday of last week in Denver. He was born July 23, 1881 at Council Bluffs, Iowa and moved to Haxtun in 1903. He had made his home in Denver since 1924.
Surviving are two children, Mrs. Addie Monk and Frank Monteith, both of Haxtun; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Allen, Haxtun; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren
