She was born in Wyoming, daughter of the late William and Jennie Waters Youells. Before retirement, Barbara was employed by General Cigar, and was self-employed by many housekeeping positions. Barbara was a member of Dorranceton United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed doing volunteer work.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Keiper in 2001; daughter, Lois Winter; granddaughter, Doreen Brown. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, William, Marvin and Robert Youells; and sister, Bernice Darling.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to wonderful caretakers at River Run, especially the nurse, Evelyn and aides, Chevon, April and Alice.
Surviving are her children, Edward Keiper and his wife Darlene, Rio Rancho, N.M.; Susan Teberio and her husband, Lou, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Heidi McKenney, Ed Caruthers, Karissa Keiper, Eric Keiper and Tony Teberio; great-grandchildren, Julie Caruthers, Corey Caruthers, Christopher McKenney, Melissa McKenney, Lyte Brown, Cody Caruthers, Shea Parry, Nolan Teberio and Samantha Porter; great-great-grandchildren, Cadyn Caruthers and Camdyn Caruthers; and her sister, Joyce Shafer.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. from Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston. Interment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
