He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville, a Kentucky Colonel and a distinguished citizen of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Pat Von Allmen and Cletus and Regina Oelze.
Survivors besides his parents and brother, Matthew, include another brother, Craig Von Allmen of New Albany; three sisters, Meg Hiser and Christina Von Allmen, both of Lanesville and Anna Cooper of New Middletown; and his grandfather, Oscar C. Von Allmen Jr. of New Albany.
Visitation is today (Wednesday) from 3 to 9 p.m. and after 8 a.m. tomorrow at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
The funeral Mass will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery. Father Harold Ripperger will officiate.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Von Allmen's church.
