MICHAEL DAVID PRATHER, 45, passed from the loving arms of his wife, son, and dad into the hands of his god and savior Jesus Christ at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Minnesota at 2:30 A.M. Wednesday July 2, 2008 after a five year battle with leukemia. He was a 1981 Silver Creek graduate, and graduated from electronics school in Louisville in 1983. He started his working life at Wang electronics in Chicago, Illinois and Frankfort, Kentucky with his most recent position being a splicer for AT&T. He was also a member of the Hamburg Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Monday, July 7, at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Silver Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, and from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hamburg or Sellersburg Church of Christ.
