Daughter of Bill and Joyce Allen Adaway, sister of Micheal. Now has three beautiful little nieces she will never know, but who will always carry something of her, Samantha Michelle, Kemberlee Payge and Annabelle. Granddaughter of Daisy and Napoleon Adaway and Hershall and Marie Allen. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and others who loved her dearly. Kim was born with a rare condition that caused her internal organs to be reversed. They were actually on the opposite side of the body from where they should have been. This was not discovered until she was entering her teens. She would have needed a heart/lung transplant to have a chance of survival. Unfortunately, her heart couldn't withstand the strain. She was on the playground at school when she made the remark, " I want to run and play like the other kids" She collapsed on the playground and died later that day in the hospital. A very sweet child who left a loving family too soon.

Grandfather:Napoleon Bonaparte Adaway
Grandmother:Daisy Lucille Mahon Adaway
Grandmother:Helen Marie Lane Allen

Thanks so much to Carolina Angel for sponsoring Kim's memorial page.

I would like to thank Paul Nickolai for enhancing the photos for me.

Kimberly

So timid, so precious,
So silent, so still,
I don't understand it,
I'm sure I never will.

So young, so kind,
So beautiful, so sweet,
Such a treasure trove of wonder,
In her green eyes so deep.

An angel in waiting,
But we weren't aware,
If only we'd known,
Maybe tried to prepare.

But unable to do that,
Blinded by our grief,
The anger was vibrant,
Pain and sorrow beyond belief.

Even now years later,
Our questions abound,
The world lost a jewel,
Without her light around.

But God needed an Angel,
Someone special beside Him,
So in His great wisdom,
He chose my sweet niece Kim.
