Mrs. S. A. Dickinson one of the older residents of Sanilac County and for the past 16 years a resident of Deckerville and Downington passed away at her home in the latter place on Firday August 27, after a illness from typhoid fever. Mrs. Dickinson whose maiden name was Sarah A. Ennest was born in Beachvillem Ont., March 12, 1853 and came to Sanilac county with her parents in the early 60`s and in 1874 was united in marriage to Alexander Dickinson. She is survived by five children, four daughers and one son. They are: Mrs. H. A. Dotty, Traverse city, Mich; and B. H. Doty, South Boardman, Michigan; Mrs. Archie Parent, Turner, Michigan; Mrs. R. H. Bullock, Detroit, and Nona Dickinson, thession, Ontario. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. A. Cerby and Mrs. Ethan Ennest of Applegate, the four daughters were present at the funeral. Mrs. Dickinson was an active member of the Downington church and Ladies Aid Society and a host of friends join with the bereaved family in their hour of grief. the funeral was held from the home at 10:30 Sunday morning Rev. H. A. Simpson of the first Paresbyterian churh, Deckerville, officiating. the remains were interred in the D. and D. cemetery.
