Born to Aileen (Kiefer) and William Sukkert. He was third of four sons (Ronald, Rolf, Gerald). Growing up on a farm, he enjoyed playing outside with his brothers and friends. Orlando became his new home when he was still a child, and the streets of Pine Hills became his stomping grounds. After graduating from Evans High School, he completed auto body classes at Orlando VoTech and went into active duty to serve on the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga working munitions. After two years and many tours to the Mediterranean, he came back home to settle down and raise a family (sons Glen and Neal). His career with Southern Bell (Bell South, AT&T) had him start from climbing polls, working attics, and digging cables, to supervising a consistently superior group of employees. After 30 years of working in the central Florida heat, David retired and began enjoying time with the two loves of his life... his wife Angela and golf. Many trips to Atlanta to visit with his favorite little buddy (grandson Kennan) and weekend trips with his wife helped break up the daily rounds on the links.
