LAVALLE — Jerry Lee Parr, 71, of LaValle, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, at his home.

He was born April 28, 1941, in Ontario, the son of Fay and Rose Marie Mossholder Parr. On March 21, 1959, Jerry was united in marriage to Marjorie "Mickie" Hurley. This marriage was blessed with four children. Jerry and Mickie raised their children in Illinois while Jerry was employed as a technical engineer with the Bell System. He was a facility manager and project manager on corporate construction and remodeling projects during most of his career. Jerry retired in 1996. At that time, the Parrs moved to their second home in LaValle on Christmas Eve 1996.

Jerry enjoyed restoring and remodeling Model A Fords, genealogy and construction/remodel projects. He was an active member of two national Model A clubs and a Madison club. He also has an interest in genealogy research. Jerry was the web master for the Tomah High School Class of 1959 website and the web master for the Vernon County Historical Society.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Carly; and brother, David Parr.

We honor Jerry's life with a service at 11 a.m. today at Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg. Private family burial will be conducted in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Waupaca County, at a later date. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and today from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
