WILLIAM HINKLE

Funeral services were held Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance for William Cleveland Hinkle, 82 years old of Advance, who died Tuesday of last week in a hospital in Cape Girardeau. Burial was in Morgan Memorial Park. Mr. Hinkle, a retired farmer, was born March 18, 1887 at Benton. On August 22, 1910, he married Miss Bessie Reed who preceded him in death on October 6, 1966. Mr. Hinkle was a member of the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons: Charles and Dempsey of Advance and William R. of Cape Girardeau: four daughters, Mrs. Lee Fulbright of Cape, Mrs. Alma Burger and Mrs. Betty Phillips of St. Louis and Mrs. Michael Finger of Fort Madison, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Clarence Hager of Advance; a foster sister, Mrs. Clifford Scars of Corning, Ark. 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Two children preceded him in death.
