MRS. AUGUST BATHKE, WHO
CAME TO THE TOWN OF
SIGEL 64 YEARS AGO, DIES
THIS MORNING
Mrs. August Bathke, for 64 years
a resident of the town of Sigel,
died at her home at about 8:30 this
morning. She was 73 years old, hav-
ing been born in Germany Sept. 28,
1854, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Gottlieb Gaulke, with whom she
came to this country when one year
of age.
Mrs. Bathke settled with her par-
ents in the town of Sigel when she
was nine years old. She was mar-
ried 53 years ago to August Bathke,
who survives her, as does one son,
Frank Bathke of Sigel, and an
adopted daughter, Mrs. Anna
Schultz, Milwaukee. A daughter
died in infancy. Mrs. Bathke also
leaves three brothers...
