Mr. August Fisher, one of the old
pioneers of Wood County, and for
many years the town clerk of Sigel,
died at his home in that town on the
5th inst., and was buried on the 8th
inst. Mr. Fisher was highly respected
by all who knew him, and had held
almost every position of trust or honor
within the gift of his town. Rheumat-
ism of the heart is said to have been
the cause of his death.
