LUDWIG ZEAMAN DIED AT THE HOME
OF HIS SON LAST NIGHT
One of the wellknown pioneer resi-
dents of Wood County, Ludwig Zea-
man, passed away last night at the
home of his son, Louis Zeaman, in
Sigel, with whom he has been living
for some years. Funeral services will
be held Friday afternoon at the home,

ment made in the Sigel cemetery by
the side of his wife who died twelve
years ago.
Mr. Zeaman was born in the Pro-
vince of Posen, Germany in January,
1827, and was 88 years of age. In
early manhood he came to the United
States locating in the town of Sigel
where he has since made his home.
He served his adopted country
through the civil war and has always
been a most exemplary citizen. He is
survived by the following children:
Frank Zeaman, Mesdames E. T.
Bodette and Alfred Canning of Grand
Rapids, Louis Zeaman of Sigel,
Ferdinand Zeaman who now resides
near Seattle, Wash. One son, Fred,
