His wife Vonda wrote this obituary:

Jerry Marvin Bain, the love of my life, went to be with the Lord April 30, 2002 in Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., at the age of 58 years, six months and seven days from the complications of diabetes.
He was the best husband, dad, and grandpa in the world. He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
He was born October 23, 1943 in Springfield, Mo. and graduated from Fair Grove High School. He was a member of Mount Calvary Assembly of God in Strafford, Mo. He was an employee of Dayco Manufacturing from 1962 until his medical retirement
in 1992. He loved the Lord and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He is survived by his loving wife, Vonda Bain of Buffalo, Mo.; two loving sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Debbie Bain of Fair Grove, MO, and Jeff and Debbie Bain of Strafford, Mo.; and five grandchildren, Shawn, Dustin, Ashley, Brandon, and Brittany; seven brothers and six sister-in-law, Larry and Lila Bain of Buffalo, Mo., Millard and Barbara Bain of Newalla, Okla., Richard and Georgia Bain of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Cheryl and Pat Johnson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William Fillmore and Helen Francis Culp Bain.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday May 5, 2002 in Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bass Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
A special thanks from my family and I to my brother Ross for the kidney he gave me in 1982. He gave us 20 wonderful yers together we would not have had without him.
