Victoria A. Birosak of Pittston passed away Sunday at Golden Living Center, Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in Pittston, daughter of the late Gelsomino and Anna Callaio.

She was a graduate of Pittston High School.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Acme Markets, New Jersey.

Victoria enjoyed playing bingo and taking bus trips to Atlantic City. She was always willing to help her friends through her generosity.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Birosak, in 1991; brothers, Anthony and Gerald Callaio; sisters, Mary Silviano, Vera Schell and Angeline Birosak; half-brothers, James, William, Rocco and Joseph Neetz; half-sisters, Mildred Lukasavage and Connie Eastwood.

She is survived by a step-daughter, Gloria Rosati, Moosic; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston. The Rev. Gregory Finn, O.S.J., will officiate.

Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville

Friends may call Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
