Death claimed John Birosak on Saturday afternoon, September 10, 1955 at Pittston Hospital, where he had been a patient since September 8, 1955. Mr. Birosak was stricken with a heart attack while engaged in post-flood cleanup at Shawnee-on-the-Delaware where he was employed as a porter. The deceased was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Church, Pittston. For 35 years he was employed as a motor-runner at No. 14 Colliery. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Marko and the following brothers and sister: Jacob, Chicago, Illinois; Joseph, California; Martin, Plains; Michael, Plainsville; William, Pittston; Paul, Mayfield; Frank, Jersey City and Mrs. Joseph Radzville, Plains. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 am from the funeral home, 1291 Wyoming Avenue, Exeter with a requiem mass at 9:30 am at St. John's Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
