George Lazar, age 90, beloved husband of the late Eve Phillips Lazar of Stratford, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Lazar was born in Luzerne, Pa., on April 9, 1915, and was the son of the late Alexander and Christina Luzetsky Lazar. George was a machinist for 20 years with the Singer Co. of Bridgeport and a United States World War II Navy veteran. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and also enjoyed working with his wood carvings.
