Gene Married Helen and they had four children. Gene owned and operated a tobacco farm in Carthage, North Carolina and was well liked and respected.

Served in the U.S. NAVY

Gene passed away due to a heart problem on May 30, 2005

Kenneth Eugene is my step-son from my marraige to Clifton Ray Coley. I had the honor to meet him and his family a couple of times. I wish I had gotten to know him better.
He was a hard working man who loved his family.

CARTHAGE-K. E. "Gene" Coley, 75, of Carthage, died Monday May 30, 2005. Mr. Coley was a Navy Veteran. He worked as a machinist for GKN in Sanford and as a farmer before retiring.

Services: Funeral 2 p.m. today in Priest Hill Presbyterian Church. Burial in church cemetery. Fry and Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage.

Survived by wife Helen Braddock; daughters Kay and Ann; sons Jeff and Allan; mother Rachel; sisters, Gaynell Layne and Linda Scholbrock; brothers, Ralph, James and Dwight; two grandchildren and a great grandchild,
