Victim of Charles Starkweather. Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate had already killed 4 and when they killed their family friend August Meyer on January 27, 1958, he made victim number 5. After killing him they stole food and money from his farm. August was a farmer in Bennet, Nebraska. August was known as a quiet, gentle man. Charles Starkweather was convicted of the murders and sentenced to death. He was executed in Lincoln, Nebraska, on June 25, 1959.
