Billy Don Havenhill, 63, of Waukon, and formaly of Wapello, died at Veterans Medical Center.
He was born to Donald and Donna Parsons Havenhill.
Mr. Havenhill worked as a police officer for nine years in Burlington and served as the Louisa County Sheriff of 16 years. He was a 1960 graduate of Wapello High School. He was a graduate of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965.
Survivors include son, Joe Havenhill of Clive; one grandson; sister, Sue Ranum of Waukon; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Graveside services were held with rites provided by the Louisa County Sheriff's Department.
