Clark's generation were born HEAVENHILL but most started using HAVENHILL probably as adults, by the time they married and had children of their own.

Clark is the fifth child, of seven, born to the union of George Heavenhill and Sarah Clark. George already had five children from a previous marriage.

When Clark's parents got married, father was 35, mother was only 21, and there were already five children in the household between the ages of 2 and 7. George and Sarah will have 7 more children in the next 15 years: Minerva, Hiram Bertram, Fielding, Oliver, Clark, Jane H., and William, all born in Kentucky. George's first-born child, Cyrus, is 21 years older than his youngest, William. George died in Illinois (1838) at age 60. His youngest child was 11.

Clark Havenhill married Fannie Wallace in 1861 Illinois when he was 39 and she was 21. They had twelve children. The first six were born in Illinois, the next in Tennessee, the last five in Texas including an adopted daughter (#10). Twelve children in twenty years. Fannie died four years after her youngest child was born. Three of their children died in her lifetime. Clark was left with nine children between the ages of 23 and 4 years of age when his wife died at age 45. He was 63.

In his last years he lived with his son Clarke's (#7-my grandfather) family in Elk City, Oklahoma - see photo bottom right.

19. Clark4 Havenhill (George3, Oliver (Ulrich)2, Valentine1 Himmelberger) was born 24 August 1822 in Hardin County, Kentucky, and died 6 June 1908 in Hammon, Rogers Mills County, Oklahoma. He married Fannie W. Wallace 25 September 1861 in Kendall County, Illinois. She was born 17 September 1840 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died 20 December 1885 in Hico, Hamilton County, Texas.

+ 107 ii. Reno Breeze Havenhill, born 3 May 1864 in Kendall County, Illinois; died 16 January 1941 in Weatherford, Parker County, Texas. He married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Reynolds (1867-1905)

108 iii. Russell Scott Havenhill, born 20 February 1866 in Kendall County, Illinois; died 3 January 1883 in Texas.

109 iv. Amanda Havenhill, born 24 February 1868 in Kendall County, Illinois; died 26 May 1953 in Tarrant Co., Texas. She married W. Ben Day 13 December 1885; died 28 February 1945 in Tarrant Co., Texas.

110 v. Arabel Havenhill, born 17 January 1870 in Kendall County, Illinois; died 16 March 1943, Albany, Oregon. She married Will Dolan 6 August 1890 in Tarrant County, Texas; died 1943 in Oregon.

+ 112 vii. Schuyler Colfax Havenhill, born 13 September 1873 in Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee; died 26 November 1938 in Twitty, Wheeler County, Texas. He married Daisy Fannie Pruett September 3 1893.

113 viii. Emily Havenhill, born 13 January 1875 in Tarrant County, Texas; died 20 July 1878 in Tarrant County, Texas.

114 ix. George R. Havenhill, born 4 November 1877 in Tarrant County, Texas; died 4 November 1877 in Tarrant County, Texas.

115 x. Ella (adopted) Wright Havenhill, born 15 November 1878 in Texas; died 1941. She married Robert Henry Nowlin 1871 – 1964.

116 xi. Fannie W. Havenhill, born 10 December 1878 in Tarrant County, Texas; died 25 February 1908. She married Thomas Bert Taylor 1871 – 1937.

117 xii. Harry H. Havenhihll, born 15 November 1881 in Tarrant County, Texas; died 7 October 1898.
