Mrs. Laura Greenfield Tavener
of Cayuga, widow of George Tavener,
Sr., died this morning at the
home of her daughter. Mrs.
George Marsh, in Cayuga. She was
89 years old.
Mrs. Tavener was born in Savannah,
and lived for about 50
years on a farm on Genesee Road.
She was a member of the Methodist
Church of Cayuga. She
leaves, besides her daughter, Mrs.
Marsh, two sons, George and
Ernest Tavener of Cayuga; 13
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be held
at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon
at the home of Mrs. Marsh in Cayuga
Village. Rev. Ralph Smith,
pastor ot the Cayuga Methodist
Church, will officiate, and burial
will be in Lakeview Cemetery at
Cayuga
