Hostage in the October, 2002, Moscow Theater incident. Chechen terrorists took hundreds of people hostage to protest Russian involvement in the territory of Chechnya. When Russian Special Forces stormed the theater, the gas they used killed numerous innocent hostages. Burban was a Los Angeles resident who did business in Russia and his home country of Ukraine.
